Hebrews 4:8 "For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later of another 'day'."

I think the idea of time, and its true purpose is a very excellent vintage point for studying the very nature of God's design. For it is very easily observed that everything under this frame of time undergo decay, as well as our very selves--bodies and minds alike--and we can only recover through rest in various forms.
If there was no time, which promotes decay, there would certainly be no need for rest! And therfore, since there is time, with the ultimate end of our decay being death, God has made it necessary for us to enter into a permanent rest. This being the rest of his kingdom.
This entrance into eternity, upon his timlessness, I do believe will provide whatever regeneration and growth in the very instant, and all along the vast stretch of forever that it spans, that we need.
We are to grow here, and that is a part of living under time. If there is no time, there is no growth. We can look at the physical process of a plant maturing to see this. As it is watered and fed, the plant grows in many ways, so that on the final day of its upward climb, it is many times taller then when it was just a seed.
Therefore, God cannot expect us to abandon our sinful nature and grow to be like Him if he does not give us a timeframe to inhabit while we do so. As soon as He finds our growth to have reached a suitable level--at His discretion--He is likely satisfied with finishing the job in one instant of eternity.
Eternity is an instant, of course, for in eternity, everything is constant. Nothing is of change. Change is a product of time.
Therefore, there is no entrance into eternity except through the gate of Jesus Christ the Messiah, by whom all are made pure and cleansed, and fully ready to begin life with the Father.

"O que eu tenho,
Foi Deus quem me deu.
Na roda de capoeira,
Grande e pequeno sou eu."
I really appreciate being able to come to a place like this, and share my faith.
DeviantART really seems like a useful forum for expressing all kinds of views, and my faith is one that happens to be extremely important to me.
I'll try and get some stuff on up here soon.
Take care!
